📖 How to Play StatBattle
Everything you need to know to settle the greatest sports debates — with data.
Step 1 — Pick Your Sport
Select from Basketball, Football, Baseball, Soccer, or the exclusive Hall of Fame mode. Then choose a position category (Guards, QBs, Pitchers, etc.) to narrow the player pool.
Step 2 — Choose Your Players
Click a player slot to open the picker. Search by name or team, scroll the alphabetical list, or hit 🎲 Random Battle for a surprise matchup. Two special modes unlock extra challenges:
Step 3 — Make Your Prediction
Before each round, you'll see a fight-card style matchup. Pick who you think will win that round's stat category. Correct predictions earn bonus points — your streak grows with each right call.
Step 4 — Watch the Stats Battle
Three rounds of real career statistics are revealed one by one. Each stat category has a winner — green glow = winning, red = losing. Some stats like ERA are lower is better.
Step 5 — Crown the GOAT
After 3 rounds, the player who won the most categories is declared the Greatest. A tie goes to a tiebreaker round. Share your results and keep the debate going!
